Plot Summary: It is mid-december, and SOS Brigade chief Haruhi Suzumiya announces that the Brigade is going to hold a Christmas party in their clubroom, with Japanese hotpot for dinner. The brigade members Kyon, Yuki Nagato, Mikuru Asahina and Itsuki Koizumi start preparing everything for the party, such as costumes and decorations. But a couple of days later, Kyon arrives at school only to find that Haruhi is missing. Not only that, but Mikuru claims she has never known Kyon before, Koizumi is also missing, and Yuki has become the sole member of the literature club. The SOS Brigade seems to have never existed, nor has Haruhi Suzumiya. No one in the school has ever heard about her… except for Kyon.

Apple released the firmware 4.0 for the iPhone and iPod Touch devices yesterday (Monday, June 21st) which was a major upgrade for the devices. As mentioned in our post before, you shouldn’t upgrade your devices if you have relied on tools for hacktivation and/or a carrier unlock. Today, the iPhone Dev Team has released the PwnageTool 4.0.

Please read through everything carefully as there are upgrade traps and different upgrade scenarios that need to be fully understood and considered before using the new tool.

With PwnageTool 4.0, there are certain devices that aren’t supported at all because these devices are not supported by the iOS 4.0 software. The Dev Team is currently working to get past these restrictions. Currently the devices that are NOT supported are the following:

• iPhone 2G
• iPod Touch
• iPod Touch 3G

redsn0w beta has been updated to hacktivate iOS 4.0 for iPhone3G (in addition to jailbreaking the iPhone3G and iPod Touch 2G).   The download links for redsn0w 0.9.5b5-3 are:

• Mac OSX (x86)
• Windows

For now, the redsn0w beta release supports only the iPhone3G and iPod Touch 2G at today’s 4.0. It’s still a beta, so you’ll need to let Cydia reorganize, reload, and update after using redsn0w.
